A neat and seldom seen wood cube radio sold by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. As a budding collector in the early 2000s, this radio was one of the first that I remember coming across in a VRPS swap meet in Dallas to purchase. I made the mistake of not pouncing on it fast enough that another collector snatched it up for twenty dollars. Ever since then, I have only seen one or two of these come up for sale online for significantly more value and I have regretted missing my opportunity for many years. Now a little over 20 years later, I came across this example on ebay in the wrong category and was fortunate to purchase it for just $30 without much bidding competition. Coincidentally, this radio was being sold by Salvation Army in Dallas so chances are it is the same radio that I originally missed out on back then!
