Bare frame with all other components removed. The frame was in remarkably good condition aside from some missing chunks of steel on the rear coil spring crossmember and the welded on front shock absorber brackets that I cut off.

The rear center crossmember of the frame had some cracked and missing pieces of steel that were repaired.

The 1940 Buick frame was not a simple closed box ladder frame that is easy to strip and repaint myself, so I decided to enlist the professionals here. I hauled the frame over to a local powder coating business. They sand blasted and powder coated the entire frame.
