The seats were already reupholstered by the previous owner in the Saddle brown color matching the original door panels. The carpets and underlayment were missing and probably discarded. The seats were loosely installed since I acquired the car so it was fairly easy to gut the interior and start from the bottom up. The floor panels appear to have been cleaned and repainted. Below are views of the entire empty interior shell of a P5B Coupe.

I ordered new reproduction carpets from Coverdale in the UK in Caramel color. Their carpets are backed, but not molded and does not come with the jute pad attached. I installed 30mm thick jute pads beforehand and glued them to the bare floor before placing the carpets. The transmission console was relatively easy to recover, it's held down by 2 bolts under the shifter plate and then slides out towards the back. The cover itself is a thick cardboard form and I used upholstery spray adhesive to apply the new carpet after peeling off the old one. This took about 1 hour to recover the transmission cover.
