The soft padded dashboard needed to be reinstalled first so the gauge binnacle could then be mounted and start work on fixing the wiring mess. I was able to locate the dashboard that was removed from the car, but it had cracks and needed to be covered with new vinyl.

The old vinyl was stripped off and replaced with new black vinyl that was stretched into the shape of the dashboard using a heat gun. Cracks were filled with bumper epoxy beforehand.

With the dash installed back in the car, now the gauge binnacle can be fitted to continue working on fixing the wiring harness.

Unfortunately, I could not locate the original RHD gauge binnacle that was removed among the parts with this car, so I had to acquire a replacement from a UK parts supplier. I was able to restore the wiring to the point that the starter motor would crank the engine. Now onto mechanical work. The rest of the electrical will be sorted out later.
