RCA 5X "Jewel Box"

The RCA 5X is a neat small tabletop set with a wood cabinet that completely encloses the chassis. The chassis is accessible from the bottom and the speaker faces out from the rear of the cabinet. RCA also offered the model 5X3 that is very similar with the front facing dial and rear facing speaker in a different cabinet style. The 5X originally cost $32.95 in 1936.
